Welcome back folks to All and Around!
You know as summer is leaving us behind and fall is here to come, all four Pajo’s locations are still open to give you our warmest welcome until Remembrance Day weather permitting!
But hey, guess what, despite the gloomy weather, the fun is still far from over at our Pajo’s hood. So you’d better check out the events below in case you want to come out and join some of them. And oh, maybe dropping by at our porch and enjoying your favorite fish and chips wouldn’t be such a bad idea.
Steveston—the Wharf and Garry Point Park
Saturday October, 1st – Steveston Fire Hall Grand Opening Celebration at the new Fire Hall on No. 2 road. Activities include fire hall tour, face painting and many more starting from 11am to 4pm. Check this out for more details.
Sunday October 2nd and 18th —Steveston Farmer’s Market is on the go in front of Gulf of Georgia Cannery from 10am to 4pm. Want to know more? Visit www.sfam.ca.
Sunday October 9th –Seafair Monor Hockey Association members will take part in “Sweep of the Streets” in Steveston Village. The sweep will begin at 10:30am at Garry Point Park. So get yourself ready for the cleaning troop. Want to know more? Visit www.seafairhockey.com.
Friday October 16th – On Friday, it’s time for “Kids Only Swap Meet” at Steveston Community Center. Find both new and gently used kids items for sale. Admission is FREE. Want to know more? Contact Steveston Community Center.
Saturday October 29th—It’s time for “Trick or Treat” in Steveston Village. Kids will be out collecting treats from businesses in the afternoon. So, get you Halloween costumes ready Halloween door knocks!
Apart from all this, don’t forget about the 2nd Annual Scarecrow Crawl in our beloved Steveston Village throughout this month. This year, you’ll find one-of-kind scarecrows lurking outside of many storefronts and restaurants. Walk through the village. Bring your camera. And take a picture with your favorite scarecrow is not such a bad idea!
Port Moody
Though Rocky point park is still one of our favorite hang out spot and dancing with the geese is still as fun, this month, the City of Port Moody has a couple of interesting events for you to join. Have a look below!
October 1st to 2nd —Join 14th Annual Festival of the Arts at various venues in Port Moody. The event will feature Writing Playshop at Caffe Divano on Sunday and Artist Lounge Workshop by artist J. Peachy at Civic Centre Galleria on Saturday. Check out their calendar page HERE!
Friday October 28th—Join Preschool Halloween Howl at Recreation Complex from 12pm to 1:30pm. Pre-registration early to secure a spot. Check this out for more details.
Sunday October 30th—Now Halloween Howl Skate starts from 1pm to 4:15pm. This event will take place at Recreation Complex. And admission rates apply. Visit the site here
Port Coquitlam
Oh well, apart from visiting your favorite sports spot at Gates Park below is some fun you can join around our park in October!
Saturday October 22nd—Time to enjoy “Halloween Howl Family Fun Night” at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre. Event starts at 1pm. Don’t forget to dress up and get your ticket at Hyde Creak recreation Centre. Check this out to learn more!
