Steveston Grand Prix of Art

On Saturday the 17th, Phoenix Art Workshop presents the Steveston’s 2nd Annual Grand Prix of Art where artists from around the province are invited to participate in a day of Plein Air painting in Steveston.  Participating Artists will be allocated a location in Steveston where they will have 3 hours to complete a work of art, before returning them to the shipyards for display.  The works will be adjudicated, selecting a Runner-up and the Grand prize winner. The painting race starts at 10am and the art works will be on display between 2-4pm in the Chinese Bunk House at Britannia Heritage Shipyards. Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market

On Sunday, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery will be holding Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market as usual. It’s that time of the year again when the summer market is coming to an end. But don’t be sad just yet, this year an indoor winter market will be running throughout the coming months. So here, you can come and meet the farmers and the crafters. Take a quick tour around to see what the market has to offer and ultimately it’s time to support the locals. For more information visit www.sfam.com
